Hellish Realms, Evil Spirits, and How Our Vibrations Create Our Experiences

universe-not-blessing-or-punishing

Theme:

Exploring hellish realms, evil spirits and dark states of consciousness with a special focus on how our thoughts, emotions, and “vibrations” create our experiences in this world and the next.

Take Away:

Thoughts and emotions are vibrations. They create and draw us to people, places, and things that are vibrating at similar levels. Our basic worldview about life is also a vibration that attracts specific experiences to us. The truer and more loving our basic worldview is about life, the higher our vibration and the more we tend to create positive, loving experiences for ourselves. Near-death experiences insist that the universe is unfolding perfectly, that everyone is loved, that no one is lost, that all is well, that all challenges and obstacles, that all manner of evil, serves a vital role in the grand scheme of things. To the degree that we are able to understand and incorporate this loving perspective into our worldview, we resonate at higher frequencies. We feel more love and experience more peace. To the degree that we reject this perspective — that we believe, for example, there is no God, there is no Divine plan, that we are all alone in the universe, that we are mortal beings, that the material universe is all there is, that evil things happen for no reason, that evil beings can do whatever they wish with impunity, that some souls are abandoned and condemned to hell forever, etc. — we resonate with lower frequencies which, in turn, produce various levels of distress, anxiety, disillusionment, fear. Bottom line: higher, more loving world views produce more peaceful and loving lives; lower, more fearful world views produce more upsetting and disconnected lives.

Class Description:

We began the class by examining near-death experience perspectives that say everything, including immature and evil beings and acts, are part of a larger, glorious, ultimately benevolent plan.

Excerpts from Amy Call’s NDE

“In my NDE though, I came to understand that most of us have lived much, MUCH longer than we could even fathom. That our lives that feel so very long are infinitesimal when placed in the Whole picture… which for that matter, cannot even be framed. I was shown how every single individual through their own free will chooses paths that MATHEMATICALLY take them to the circumstances of their next existence or life. That NOTHING at all sits in accident or chaos. That every single aspect of our lives are ruled by NATURAL Laws that we placed ourSELVES in! That in a sense, we create our own worlds. I was shown how one can never assume either, that if someone lives a life of suffering that this is because of “evil” deeds. Many may CHOOSE a life of suffering because of what it Awakens in them.. or to help another, etc.. We can NEVER EVER assume that we can be accurate in guessing why each Being lives the life they live. I cannot describe the relief… the refreshing, peaceful balm this Knowledge was for me. To finally gather this Truth that I’d yearned for all of my life… That all IS Good! That there IS sense and beauty all around. That no one is just “free-falling” as it had seemed before! That God doesn’t just get to toy with us as He pleases with random ideas of tests, including rewards and punishments that just depend upon His current mood or mindset. While in this experience, out in the vast expanse of stars and planets, moons, and Knowledge, I Knew complete Trust for what felt like the first time. This was bliss for me. I had lived in fear and distrust and panic for 30 consecutive years…

“My Guide stood by at a certain time (It is very difficult for me to place any of this in chronological order, as time felt so different there. It was almost as if many things happened at once, and yet separately. So there are parts of this experience, I can’t honestly place in any order.) and he lovingly stayed as my support while I had a kind of life review. I never felt chastised at all, even though I know I’ve been very cruel at times and have hurt many people. I’ve lost my temper in horrible ways and I have had great trouble with forgiveness, and yet, I felt only Love and understanding through the entire life review. What it felt like to me was that I was being given the opportunity and Gift of being able to stand back and more fully understand and love myself. I was able to feel exactly what others around me had felt during my life. I understood how everything I did and said and even thought had touched others around me in one way or another. I was able to even enter the minds and emotional centers of many who had been around me, and understand where they were coming from in their own thinking.. how their own personal views and lives’ experiences had brought them to the places each stood. I felt their own struggling and their own fears… their own desperate need for love and approval.. and more than anything, I could feel how child-like everyone was. With every person I viewed, including myself, I was able to See and Feel with a Higher Mind and Eye. And the feeling I had toward everyone was nothing less than what a loving mother would feel for her own children at toddler age.

“It was actually comical at moments. I could feel how the “Elders” as I will call them (these are those who are Helpers on the Other Side.. who have Mastered themselves in many or all ways, and help work with us.) see us and find so much humor in the way we do things. It might seem brutally annoying to consider when we are in the midst of a great argument or drama that is playing out in our lives, that the Elders view these things very much like when a mother sees her two year old scream and cry and bop another child on the head with a stuffed animal. The mother doesn’t want her child to “fall apart” and become hysterical and cry. She feels for her child, but at the same time, she sees a little bit of comedy in how seriously the child takes what is usually a trivial drama. She continues to love her child and thinks the world of it, hoping it will go on enjoying the day, living and learning.

“This was a big light bulb moment for me, because I had entertained the dark idea, during my life, that every little less than perfect action of mine, was being watched “by God,” and judged with anger or great sadness. I felt constant guilt for my mistakes and belabored over the dread of “being watched” with severe or at least very stern eyes. I wanted to please, and I believed that I was so often falling short. This had been a maddening way to live. So getting the chance to View others from a much Higher Frequency, was wonderful, to say the least. And Knowing how much Love I felt as I watched or sensed others’ in their personal situations, made me want to live more in joy rather than guilt and worry. No one was mad at me.

“I was able to explore the mind or energetic pattern of one of my life’s sworn enemies, -someone I couldn’t imagine forgiving for what I’d witnessed. And yet, coming back from my NDE, I could feel nothing more than such a flood of Love for this woman that I dived in at the chance to write her a letter and tell her how much I loved her, and to ask for forgiveness for the energetic weight I might have held over her from my own dark thoughts and anger. She could have been my own firstborn. That is how much I adored her at that time. Because I was able to feel the Divine Love for her that the Essence that ‘God’ is, feels toward her, I too, couldn’t help but Love her in a similar way. It was such a surprisingly marvelous feeling to relinquish the burden of my own anger and judgments. -Much of which I hadn’t even carried, consciously most of my years.

“Surveying all of this, I want to note, that I felt a Higher part of me that had compassion on the ME that was so ignorant and juvenile. It seemed to understand what I was working with, in every detail, and it only wanted for my joy. I felt that toward my own SELF, if that makes any sense. I desired to have my lower self Awaken, and to be filled with Love and Joy. I wanted for my lower, child-like self to be kinder, to be more Conscious, and to find Peace.

“I am forever grateful for my Life Review and what I took from it.”

Excerpts from Cami Renfrew’s NDE

“I was shown a ‘bank’ of recently dead people (who were no longer people of course, and couldn’t even be seen — they were just energetic entities I could sense — and in fact seemed to be part of me — part of this Force of Love — as much as they were separate beings). Many had died tragic, unexpected deaths.

“All were full of joy. Of all the beautiful agony we could see in the loved ones remaining on earth, all of it appeared noble. All of it appeared purposeful. These recently dead were trying to comfort and communicate with the earthly human part of those left behind, nearly laughing with compassionate outreach. It was as if they were trying to wrap their arms around those left behind and say, “Can’t you feel me? I’m right here with you even more than in life because my half of the veil is lifted. No body or personality holds me back from you. I did my job, I died when I was supposed to. Your job is beginning. We are a team, we chose this together, it’s your turn to grow from this and transform it with your open heart. After this life we’ll plan another together as we have so many times. In the meantime let’s get this one right and make good use of your pain for the benefit of all of life. Everything is exactly as it should be and I wouldn’t change it if I could. The only shame of this whole mess is if you let it destroy you and waste the chance for growth. Are you sure you can’t feel me?” It was almost a sense of coaching and cheering and reassuring.

“This sense was so powerful that for years after I returned to a more normal type of consciousness, anytime I heard of a tragedy too big to recover from (losing three children in one day for example) my instinctive first emotion was a genuine sense of gaping awe and respect for the people involved, admiration that they would sign on for such difficulties, and for the potential for growth and useful power in proportion to their pain.

“In addition, some of this communication seemed to go on between recently dead and people back in the world who were NOT loved in this life but perhaps nemeses(!). They were part of the soul group and beloved teammates in growth nonetheless, and the sense of love between them at that higher level was equal to that between people who had played a pleasant role in each other’s lives.”

To further amplify the preceding comments, I shared a quote from Jewish mystical traditions that also insist God and the universe is ultimately good. In this quote, Rabbi Ashlag comments on the nature of evil:

Corruption & Evil

Original Link

“Corruption and evil that are present in a situation are merely a cause for the good situation to follow. The time that any situation exists is only that time necessary for the evil to grow so great that the public cannot stand it any longer. Then they will unite to destroy it, create a better situation, and reform the generation.

“The new situation exists long enough for the sparks of evil contained within it (the new order) to ripen and grow unbearable. At that time, it, too, will be destroyed and a more comfortable situation established in its place. In this manner, the situations are clarified one after the other, step by step, until they are completely rectified of all evil…

“Evil, in all its aspects, is nothing more than a driving force for the development of a better situation.”

Concerning how our vibrations determine our experiences, here’s an enlightening comment from NDEr Arthur Yensen:

Pebbles & Threshing Machines

Original Link

“After death people gravitate into homogenous groups according to the rate of their soul’s vibrations much like throwing a small pebble into a threshing machine. It goes into the box that fits its proper size and weight. After death, we are sorted by the high or low vibrations of our soul. Everyone goes where they fit in! High vibrations indicate love and spiritual development, while low vibrations indicate debasement and evil. All one has to do is to love so unselfishly that their soul-vibrations rise high enough to fit into heaven.”

“In the spirit world, everyone lives in the kind of a heaven or hell that they have prepared for themselves while on Earth.”

…….

NDEr Sandra Rogers adds:

“Hell is a spiritual condition that is totally devoid of love.”

…….

After establishing that everything is ultimately good in the universe and discussing that our experiences are determined by our thoughts and feelings, or the quality of our vibrations, we explored the idea that what we see in the outer world is only a very small part of the forces that are influencing us.

David Spangler on Honoring The Unseen Forces of Life

EXCERPTS:

“There exists a whole living world — the world of microorganisms — that only very few people believed in or even suspected existed because they lacked the means to see it. These creatures are everywhere but they are microscopic in size and thus beyond the range of the human eye to detect. Yet these tiny, invisible beings exert a profound and powerful influence over our lives for both good and ill.

“So my first point is that the fact we can’t see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist and can’t affect us.

“A second point is that just because I can’t see something doesn’t mean I can’t affect it or use it in practical ways. A direct result of the acceptance of germ theory was the development of practices of hygiene. We know, for instance, that washing our hands is often one of the best ways of preventing the spread of disease. We can’t see the microorganisms living and riding on our skin, but we now take it for granted that soap and water will remove enough of them to keep ourselves and others healthy.

“What I’m leading up to is to say that just as we inhabit an invisible world of bacteria and microbes which can affect us, so we also inhabit an invisible world of subtle, non-physical energies (much of which we produce through our thinking and feeling) that can also affect us. Realizing this and taking it into account when thinking about how we can serve the wellbeing of the world is, I believe, a critical and vital step that is as needed in our time as the germ theory of disease was two hundred years ago…

“The crux of good energy hygiene is simple: loving oneself and loving what is around you. Heartfelt respect, honor, appreciation and love are qualities that when they are alive in us create a subtle environment that promotes a healthy flow of subtle forces within and around us.”

Emanuel Swedenborg

This led to an exploration of some of the things that Emanuel Swedenborg had to say about this topic. Who was Emanuel Swedenborg?

Emanuel Swedenborg (1688 – 1772) was a Swedish scientist, philosopher, theologian, revelator, and Christian mystic. He is best known for his book on the afterlife, Heaven and Hell (1758). Swedenborg had a prolific career as an inventor and scientist. In 1741, at the age of 53, he entered into a spiritual phase in which he began to experience dreams and visions, beginning on Easter weekend of April 6, 1744. This opened Swedenborg’s spiritual eyes, so that from then on he could freely visit heaven and hell, and talk with angels, demons and other spirits. Swendenborg is also considered to be one of the most intelligent human beings to ever live.

Ralph Waldo Emerson:

“The most remarkable step in the religious history of recent ages is that made by the genius of Swedenborg.”

Carl Jung:

“I admire Swedenborg as a great scientist and a great mystic at the same time. His life and work have always been of great interest to me.”

Raymond Moody:

“The correlations between what Swedenborg writes of some of his spiritual experiences and what those who have come back from close calls with death report is amazing.”

Kenneth Ring:

“People who have had near-death experiences peek through the door of the after-life, but Swedenborg explored the whole house.”

We spent the rest of our class time together listening to and discussing the following video. We began by listening from 00:00 to 08:48.

Then we skipped ahead and listened from 00:18:50 to 00:34:14. In this part we heard from a psychiatrist who regularly deals with patients who hear negative, destructive voices. Some of the things that this psychiatrist has learned about these negative voices include:

1. The voices have access to negative memories that the patient may have forgotten. They use these dark memories to make the patient feel bad about themselves and get them upset.

2. The voices only say and do negative things

3. Acting as energy vampires, the voices attempt to generate negative feelings so they can feed off them.

While the psychiatrist (and Swedenborg) says that these voices are spiritual beings that are not visible to earthly eyes, I encouraged the class to realize that our own inner voices (and negative impulses) manifest very similar qualities.

Then the psychiatrist described a very fascinating “cookie cutter” phenomenon. He said that once the voices realized he was on to them, they engaged in four very predictable behaviors. Surprisingly, these four “cookie cutter” behaviors were the same no matter who the patient was, or what hospital they were in. Swedenborg’s experiences with evil spirits also indicated that these energies are very predictable.

So what did the voices do once they realized the psychiatrist was onto them?

1. They got very loud and tried to block out what the psychiatrist was saying.

2. If that failed, the voices told the patient that the psychiatrist was crazy, full of crap, a complete nutcase.

3. If that failed, the voices told the patient to get away from the psychiatrist; to leave the hospital and run away.

4. And finally, if all of the above failed, the voices encouraged the patient to physically attack the therapist.

The psychiatrist mentioned that one of the ways he was able to gain the trust of his patients was by telling them in advance how the voices would begin to act when the patient started listening to him.

So what can be done to deal with this destructive voices? For these answers we listened from 00:34:14 to 00:53:30. In this part of the video we learned that Swedenborg was able to gain immunity through knowledge. Instead of believing in what dark voices tell us,  we should study, cling to, and identify with spiritual truth.

How do you get rid of the voices? The psychiatrist discovered these four things helped:

1. Putting a rubber band around the patient’s wrist and snapping it caused a thunderstorm like sensation of static electricity that upset the voices and forced them to retreat, temporarily.

2. Have the patients specifically ask Christ or their guardian angels to shut the voices up.

3. The voices were especially sensitive to the 23rd Psalm and Amazing Grace. They couldn’t stand either one. The voices also couldn’t can’t stand anything positive, including positive religious texts.

4. Give the patients as much information as possible without setting the voices off. Tell the patients that they are different from the voices.

Once the voices had been forced to leave, the psychiatrist emphasized how important it was to fill the empty space with positive things. If you didn’t, the voices returned, sometimes stronger than before.

We played a few more minutes of the video and ended it at 00:56:40.

How To Deal With Evil Spirits (Within and Without) – A Longer List of NDE-Based Recommendations

Here is a more complete list, drawn from near-death experiences as a whole, for how we can protect ourselves from negative and dark energies. These suggestions help us build strong spiritual immune systems:

1. Cultivate a worldview that believes God is good, life is good, everything and everyone is unfolding perfectly; this includes the belief that no one is lost or condemned forever to lower states of consciousness, but that everyone and everything is evolving to higher and higher, more and more loving states of consciousness. This worldview also lovingly includes evil thoughts, actions, and beings as part of the Divine plan.

2. Understand that every challenge that comes our way has a gift for us if we embrace it.

3. Face and befriend all monsters (this includes loving, forgiving, and understanding monsters who may not be healthy for us to be in relationship with).

4. Consciously ask God, Jesus, our guardian angels and spiritual guides to help us.

5. Pray (talk to God).

6. Meditate (feel God’s presence).

7. Calm our emotions; cultivate a fearless spirit (nothing can kill us; as Divine beings, we have the capacity to overcome all obstacles).

8. Fill our minds and hearts with spiritual truths; don’t allow dark thoughts to enter our minds, let alone take control of them (examples of dark thoughts: the world is a bad place, people are bad, I am bad, I’ll never fix whatever problems I am faced with). Feed the white wolf.

9. Remember that God loves us wholeheartedly and unconditionally — and also understands and accepts all of our human flaws. Strive to love ourselves the same way.

10. Fill empty spaces; push negative forces out of with positive ones.

11. Feel and express gratitude.

12. Lighten up and don’t take things so seriously (leave room for human foibles and mistakes, enjoy them and laugh at them).

13. Cultivate a sense of humor.

14. Help others (being overly focused on our own troubles feeds and reinforces negative states; hellish realms are full of people who are feverishly focused on themselves, consumed with their own misery).

15. Spend time in nature.

16. Create “Rescue Reminders.”

Most of the problems we wrestle with, we wrestle with again and again and again. A Rescue Reminder is when we have wrestled with a problem and solved it with some kind of spiritual insight or truth. Whatever our solution is, we write it down and instead of rehashing everything again when the same problem attacks us again, we pull out the Rescue Reminder that we created for it. Here’s an example:

The disturbing thought: I am stupid and incompetent. I am not talented enough. I am not educated enough. I am not a master of anything. Others are better at everything than I am.

The Rescue Reminder: I am beautiful and perfect just the way I am, complete with all my imperfections. The universe rejoices in both my struggles and successes. All challenges contain treasures; all monsters become angels when faced and embraced. Because my primary nature is God, it is only a matter of time before I succeed at whatever I tackle. I am mature enough to accept my limitations and patiently, persistently master them knowing that my ultimate success is absolutely guaranteed.

17. Use a rubber band to help us snap out of negative states of consciousness.

For fun, the class ended with me passing out thick rubber bands to everyone in class!
