The Purpose of Life

The purpose of life. Why we are in this world and how to make the most of it.
Take Away:
We are here, in this world, to become perfect embodiments of the Divine. We do this primarily through loving ourselves, one another, and the rest of life.
Class Description:
In our second near-death experience class we listened to four near-death experiencers describe what they learned about the purpose of life. This is one area where near-death experiences really shine. Along with providing groundbreaking, authoritative answers to humankind’s oldest questions — Who are we? Where are we from? Why are we here? Where are we headed? — near-death experiences also provide exceedingly helpful insights for how we can live joyful, happy lives in this world. This world, they insist, is where the action is. This is where our souls want to be. Everything, including the trials and tribulations we experience, is beautiful, purposeful, and gloriously perfect.
In this particular class, we listened to near-death experiencers Anne Horn, Ryan Rampton, Natalie Sudman, and Amy Call. I played video clips of each of them describing what they learned and then we discussed what they shared. Our discussion on the purpose of life was followed by me introducing a new 12 minute NDE video. My intention was to create an inspiring video that could be played as people gathered for the class, but I got a little carried away. The new video includes quotes from Anita Moorjani, Barbara Whitfield, Jan Holden, Carl Jung, Brian Weiss, Byron Katie, Jesus, Annie Kagan, Marianne Williamson, Jim Carrey, Steve Jobs, the Dalai Lama, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Walt Whitman, Brene Brown, C.S.
